Faithful...with Flexibility...

Everything in this life changes except that which is deep within each of us...that Light of God! Faith is like a muscle when it is worked... it grows!

The sooner we understand the truth...that change is a constant in life, the easier it becomes to go with the flow of life. When you sprinkle Faith in a higher power into the mix, and believe this energy is always working for your highest good...a sense of peace, just may flow into your heart.

I write these words because I have experienced the opposite of having a peaceful heart. I have had a mind filled with worries...focused on what I wanted for certain outcomes and when things did not work out as I had planned...well the sad, defeated and disappointed feelings took me into a negative spiral in my head...

Oh and it took many years for me to "Get it" ...maybe its because I have been working that Faith Muscle for my entire life!

Life is simple yet complicated at the same time...I believe most times it is complicated because we humans make it that way.

The older I get the more I understand the wisdom of cliches'...some I heard when I was a child...for instance...

"God helps those who help themselves" "Every cloud has a silver lining" "Time will tell" "Life is not without itś challenges" "Surrender to what is. Let go of what was. Have Faith in what will be" "Time heals all wounds" "Go with the Flow"...as I get older and am starting to feel new and different aches in my body... my favorite is "If you don't have your health, nothing else matters at all!" Which by the way, has put me on a mission to stay as healthy as possible in my mind, body and soul!

A really meaningful cliche' which ties into the message of being Faithful yet Flexible in life is... "Life is like the river, sometimes it sweeps you gently along and sometimes the rapids come out of nowhere." Having Faith in God does not mean we are immune to having obstacles come into our path...there is no getting out of the challenges of living life. It is how we handle these difficult times that matter.

By making a choice mentally to know that there is a magic energy within you (God) that is with you Always! It/he/God is constantly making sure your guides are nudging you in directions he wants you to go. If you can fully grasp that this beautiful power within you and around you is working for you and not ever against you and everything that is happening...even at times of uncertainty and feelings of deep sadness...your God is working everything for your highest good...then you will feel the powerful peace from within.

I know you have had to experience a time where nothing made sense in a tough situation you had to deal with and you struggled with the burning question...Why? Why is this happening? Maybe even getting mad at God! I have...but then with the passing of time, other things unfold in your life and you see that what happened in the past, had to happen the way it did in order for you to be where you are now.

So you see, this is what I mean about being Faithfully Flexible...trust me...the sooner you can grasp this concept...the sooner you can lean totally on God with a greater sense of peace that all is as it should be... especially if you are praying for direction daily...how can it go wrong? But it might not go how YOU have it planned...remember...you are not in charge! Stay Flexible...
